Peter Zumthor, a Swiss architect has received Pritzker Prize, a high status award for architecture worth $100,000. Zumthor works are humble and bold elegant buildings in his native Switzerland, Europe and US. He is fond of using natural materials and creates interiors with great interest. His stylish and graceful museums, hotels and housing complexes made him a popular architect. Chapel is his recent concrete building covered with tree trunks in the form of Native North American Hut Wigwam. The appearance of texture of the interior was designed with the residue of the burnt tree trunks. A marvelous work of architecture deserves this high prestigious award.
