One of the mining giants in Australia will be cutting down more than seven hundred jobs in Australia because the company has brought down the production due to falling demand. In a statement the company mentioned that about 100 permanent jobs would be cut along with 570 contractor jobs. The concern also mentioned that it would slow down the Yarwun alumina refinery construction and would also curtail the annual bauxite production. All this is because of the falling demand for alumina and aluminium. The president of this company said that tough decisions are forced to be made because of the present market status where there is low demand for the metals.
